Joe Zaki, Rome: With German, Finnish and Norwegian versions just launched, Food Force is now available in ten languages.

Who would have thought, two years ago when Food Force was released in English, that it would one day be available in ten languages? With the launch of the Finnish, Norwegian and German version this month, we’ve really gone around the globe.
So which are the languages? Chinese, Japanese, French, Italian, Polish, Hungarian, Finnish, Norwegian, German and the original English. But we’re not done yet! Next in line are Arabic, Portuguese, Spanish and Greek.
HELPING HANDS
Carlos, Rachel and I wouldn’t be speaking all these languages if it weren’t for the help of all kinds of companies and organisations who paid for the translations. Some, like the Japanese version, were made for free by gaming companies – in that case, Konami. For other languages it was an oranisation that gave WFP the money to do the translation – that’s what happened with the German, Polish and Hungarian, which were sponsored by the European Commission’s Department for Humanitarian Aid, ECHO.
All in all it’s been great to see such strong support come from so many different sides. Thanks, everyone!
