If we do not obtain such consent from his/her parent or legal guardian within two (2) weeks after the automatically generated email has been sent, all contact information from a visitor under the age of 13 will be destroyed.

Contact information is only maintained and used to send the user information about the United Nations World Food Programme, its activities, how he/she can help in the fight against world hunger and to participate in a contest or draw. The contact information is directly collected on a voluntary basis and not through the use of cookies. Any contact information collected for the purposes of a contest or draw will be destroyed after the identity of the qualified winners has been determined.

With regards to the Food Force Blog on which visitors can post and read messages, users are not required to register or divulge any personal information in order to do this. Users can opt to register their details; in this case we collect only information that is necessary to participate in this activity, such as first name, age, state/province and/or country. A visitor’s message cannot be traced back to him/her because no personal information is given.

How to opt-out

Users may always opt out of receiving future mailings or ask for their contact information to be deleted by clicking the link that is provided at the end of email correspondences from Food Force to the Users.

Alternatively, if a parent/legal guardian of a User who is under 13 years of age wishes for the User/child to opt out of receiving future mailings and his/her contact details to be deleted, please email opt-out@food-force.com specifying your User/Child’s email address, then your User/Child will be opted out of receiving future mailings and we will delete his/her contact details.

We do not share your information

The Food Force website is operated by the United Nations World Food Programme and respectively maintained and hosted by Deepend and FattoreK on behalf of the United Nations World Food Programme. We do not share your personal information with any third party. It is our policy not to sell, trade, or rent your personal information to anyone. We reserve the right to change our policy at any time. If we choose to change our policy, notice will be given to you to remove your name and contact information or that of your child if he/she is a minor from our database.
